特种装备制造与先进加工浙江**科技合作基地于2013年7月获批为第一批浙江省**科技合作基地。中心依托于机械工程浙江省重中之重一级学科、浙江省特种装备制造与先进加工技术重点实验室、特种装备制造与先进加工技术教育部重点实验室和过程装备及其再制造教育部工程研究中心，设有农业工程装备及自动化、超精密加工技术、振动与控制、光伏新能源技术四个研究中心。现有专职人员100余人，包括共享中国科学院1人，国家杰出青年基金获得者1人,具有海外学习或工作经历的教师33人，部分成员在国际组织担任学术兼职，在国内外具有较重要的学术影响。
基地具有广泛的国际学术交流渠道和较好的国际科技合作基础。先后与意大利经济与农业工程研究所、意大利波伦亚大学、英国能源公司、美国内华达大学、美国Fairchild公司、德国亚琛工业大学、德国帕德博恩大学、英国诺桑比亚大学、日本茨城大学等30余家海外高校和企业开展了多种形式的**科技合作，部分合作成果已实现了产业化，取得了明显成效。
International Sci. & Tech. Cooperation Base of Special Purpose Equipment and Advanced Manufacturing Technology(ISTCB) is approved the first batch of Zhejiang International Science and Technology Cooperation Base. ISTCB is based on the first discipline of mechanical engineering of Zhejiang University of Technology, and has four research centers including agricultural engineering equipment and automation, precision engineering technology, vibration and control, and Solar-PV Energy. The base is staffed with 100 senior scientific research personnel, including 1 Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 33 of whom have overseas study or work experience.
With a wide range of international academic exchanges channels, ISTCB has carried out various communications with numbers of foreign universities and research institutes including Agricultural Economy and Engineering Department, University of Bologna, UniversityofCambridge, The British energy company, University of Nevada, et al. In recent years, the base has undertaken over 150 state-level projects, among them, the industrialization of research has been completed for some cooperation results.
